Profile and approach →My professional work combines legal analysis with economic responsibility. For many years, I have worked in the legal department of a major German asset management company, dealing with investment law, international contractual documentation and regulatory matters. Cross-border cooperation and working in English are part of my professional day-to-day practice.
My professional background includes many years of participation in consultative expert groups of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the leadership of a European specialist task force, and academic publications in investment and capital markets law.
In my independent legal practice, I advise and represent clients in selected civil-law matters. My aim is to reduce even complex facts to the decisive issues, explain the available legal options clearly and understandably, and develop an economically considered course of action.

For me, every matter begins with a precise understanding of the facts. Particularly in extensive or complex matters, the decisive factual and legal issues need to be identified and the essential separated from the peripheral.
On that basis, I develop a clear legal position and set out the available courses of action. I consider not only what is legally possible, but also the associated risks, the effort involved and the economic consequences.
My aim is to provide advice that makes demanding issues understandable and creates a robust basis for decisions. In contentious matters, this also means developing a position that can be clearly reasoned and consistently pursued.
My independent legal practice focuses on civil law, with a particular emphasis on tenancy law and contract law. After reviewing the individual case, I also accept other civil-law mandates, especially where extensive facts need to be structured and different legal and economic considerations brought together.
I do not practise family or inheritance law.
Since my admission to the Bar, I have advised and represented predominantly landlords in tenancy-law matters. This includes both drafting and reviewing tenancy agreements and handling disputes arising from existing tenancies.
In addition to the legal assessment, I focus on the economic consequences of different options and on developing a clear course of action.
Contracts often form the basis of long-term economic relationships. I advise on drafting and reviewing contracts as well as on disputes concerning their interpretation, performance and termination.
Particularly in complex contractual relationships, the facts need to be reduced to the essential points, legal and economic interests distinguished, and a sustainable solution developed.
